Crochet a Granny shoulder bag from 13 complete squares, each worked over 10 rounds. Popcorn centres, bands of groups of three double crochets and a final cream round create the textured motifs. The numbered assembly plan turns the squares into a bag with two handles worked into the outer edging.
Inside the guide
- All ten rounds of the square are written out, with counts and changes between colour bands: 13 complete squares, or 130 rounds worked across all the squares.
- Eight original photographs covering the palette, views of the model and assembly or finishing stages.
- Two original technical diagrams and one faithful vector redraw of the numbered 13-square layout for easier assembly reading.
- The 16 joins in the flat layout, folds in squares 2, 6 and 8, and six additional joins that close the sides of the bag.

US crochet codes are retained and explained in English.

Constructing the bag
The squares are joined with wrong sides together using slip stitches and chain bridges. Three complete squares fold to shape the bag. Each of the two inner V edges receives three rows of single crochet followed by one reverse single crochet row. Each handle begins with a chain of 60; three single crochet rounds finish the outer circuit and both handles.
